Business Innovation Design

During this stimulating programme you will tackle two challenges in an interdisciplinary team. Firstly, an innovation challenge at one of the minor’s partners. Then, you will research an organisational problem on managing of innovation at a partner organisation.

On learning days you will demonstrate your progress and insights to partners. By the end of the Business Innovation Design (BID) programme, you will have made a real impact at the company through developing, or validating, a value proposition and simultaneously identifying organisational bottle necks impeding innovation.

Innovation is a top priority for organisations these days. However, finding innovators within the organisation is a challenge. This minor aims to develop the entrepreneurial leadership capabilities you need for leading lean innovation in large organisations.

The Business Innovation Design (BID) programme consists of two main parts. You will work closely with your fellow students.

Assessment is based on a group presentation to the professional field, your professional reflection journal, teacher performance evaluations and peer review.

Please note that the programme reflects a (logical) bundle of courses/subjects (and should normally be followed as such); it is not possible to combine (two or more) programmes in one single period.
