FACILE

FACILE
FACILE aims to facilitate and accelerate the transition to a circular clothing industry based on the role of logistics. The first phase improves the clothing collection. The second phase accelerates the digitization of the recycle chain and realizes a data-driven circular value chain.

Objective

As a feasibility study, FACILE's goal is to accelerate the transition to a circular clothing industry. FACILE aims for transparency of the textile raw materials cycle to channels, batches and volumes. A transparent market of the fiber processing industry shows where there are missing links and what the critical path is to achieve a successful transition to a circular clothing industry.

Results

In 10 years proven:

  •  practical contribution in accelerating the transition to a circular clothing industry of second-hand clothing through the use of logistics, digitization and information management
  • knowledge contribution to education.

Duration

15 January 2019 - 31 August 2020

Approach

FACILE uses several phases to achieve the intended result. Behavioral research and large-scale research among the various target groups: consumer, retail, producer and the (work)wear chain play a major role in this.
