Alma Mustafic (1981) has been a researcher for the Research Group Methodology of Practice-Based Research since 1 September 2018. She is involved in various research projects, including ‘Research in education’, ‘Didactics of professional research competence’ and Graduating with impact from Higher Professional Education (HBO)’.
After a career in banking, she decided to follow her passion for education by making the switch to HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht in 2007. Alma teaches various courses at the Institute for Finance and Accounting. She is also an educational developer, graduation and study coach, institute council member and vice-chairman of the examination committee.
In 2015, she completed a master’s degree in Educational Studies in order to increase her expertise in the field of education. Her master's thesis dealt with the question, 'What makes a Higher Professional Education (HBO) graduation supervisor a good supervisor?' As a result of this research, she came into contact with the Research Group Methodology of Practice-Based Research, where she is currently conducting research into ‘graduating with impact’.
