Esther Verboon PhD studied Health Sciences and completed a Master of Business Administration.
Within her role as director for the HU Institute for Law, she has developed a special interest for the quality of service provided in legal practices. This led to a dissertation on creating client value and the related loyalty of clients in the legal profession.
Research into these concepts is scarce within the context of legal services, and in the Netherlands it is virtually non-existent. Her dissertation therefore contributed to further scientific insights into what is, in effect, a new field of research. For example, these insights are now being used in follow-up research into providing better legal assistance to clients in multi-problem situations.
