Ingrid van Houwelingen (1989) is a criminologist and works as a researcher in the Research group Knowledge analysis societal security. Within this group, she is a participant in the Startbaan project, a study into municipal cooperation regarding youth and young adults with complex problems and (prior) convictions.
Ingrid previously worked as a junior researcher at the criminology department of VU Amsterdam. She participated in various empirical studies, including research into the manner in which violence is dealt with at psychiatric institutions. She also worked for some time as a project member at Erasmus University Medical Centre, on the development of care guidelines for people with intellectual disabilities and behavioural problems.
