Maartje Harmelink has been a lecturer/researcher for the Research group Behaviour & Conversation in digital transition since January 2015. She conducts discourse and conversation-analytical research for the line of research ‘Het Gesprek’ (‘Conversations’) and was involved in research projects such as ‘The Next Level’, ‘Let's Talk Energy’ and ‘Frames met Energie’ (‘Frames with Energy’).
She transformed the results of these projects into training courses for professional practice: Discourse Analytical Glasses Crisis and Discourse Analytical Glasses Energy. Maartje regularly acts as a trainer to familiarise public organisations with Discourse Analytical Glasses and to facilitate their awareness of the power of language.
In the past, Maartje worked as a communication and policy officer at the Zorg Innovatie Forum and as a researcher/lecturer at the The University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG) and Hanze University of Applied Sciences. She graduated with distinction in Communication at the University of Groningen.
