We believe that people should be able to live healthily and safely in sustainable urban environments. At the Centre of Expertise Smart Sustainable Cities, we work on joint solutions for the complex challenges entailed by this ambition.
Our platform allows private companies, students, lecturers and researchers to work together on projects that bring us closer to the smart, sustainable city of the future. The results also strengthen the HU’s knowledge base, allowing existing and future professionals to stay up to date on the latest insights.
The Centre of Expertise performs innovative research in a variety of domains: planning, health, traffic and transport, energy and circularity. We also use innovations to develop new economic activities. In the process, Smart Sustainable Cities is creating a strong network of companies and organisations in the region.
