Bas van Nierop
Bas van Nierop works as researcher in the Research group Participation and Urban Development. In addition, he contributes as a lecturer to the Ecological Educational Theory full-time degree programme. In the Research group Participation and Urban Development, Bas focuses on the line of research Sports and Society.
Bas is intensively involved in the ‘Trainerskracht’ (‘Trainer’s Stength’) project. He is particularly interested in projects that centre on the educational context in all its complexity. In addition, Bas works to strengthen the connection between different Research groups and degree programmes within HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht. Bas believes students can play an important role when it comes to critical reflection on, and co-design of, practice-based research.
