Frits Bussemaker

Frits Bussemaker is chairman of the 'Institute for Accountability in the Digital Age', an initiative of UNESCO; chairman of iPoort, part of the Nieuwspoort press centre; member of the Global Industry Council of IP3; member of the organisation of the 'AI for Good Global Summit’ of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).

As Secretary General International Relations CIONET, Frits was a involved for many years with various task forces in the field of eSkills and 'IT image', both within the European Commission and the Dutch government. In his role as Programme Manager he was responsible for numerous conferences at the intersection of IT and Innovation.

Within the current research group he wants to support the connection between the relevant stakeholders and to also be a sounding board for determining the vision and direction of the research group and related programmes. Having originally graduated from Delft University of Technology, Frits went on to accrue some 30 years of international experience in the IT industry.
