Kees Nuijten


C. P. (Kees) Nuijten PhD (1957) graduated from Utrecht University’s Comparative Literature programme in 1988. In 1999, he was conferred a PhD by the University of Groningen for research into a literary-psychological subject. He has been working as a researcher in the Research group Literacy since September 2015.

Within this Research group, he performs research in the field of innovative literature education for the benefit of the curricula of the language teacher education programmes (bachelor’s/master’s) at the Archimedes Institute and in secondary education (first and second level qualification). He serves as senior hbo lecturer in the Dutch teacher-training programme. In addition, he works as programme coordinator for the Dutch master’s degree programme at the Archimedes Institute.

Nuijten is also a member of the consultation body Landelijk Overleg Vakmasters Nederlands (LOVM/10voordeleraar).

  • Editor-in-Chief of Kennisbasis vakmasters Nederlands (‘Knowledge Base for Dutch Subject Masters’)

    Katholiek Lyceum in het Gooi (Laar en Berg, Laren), Montessori Lyceum Herman Jordan (Zeist), Rijnlands Lyceum (Oegstgeest)
