Sandra Prent

PhD candidate
Sandra Prent joined the Research Group for Innovation in Movement Care in 2023 as a lecturer‑researcher, focusing on the topic of falls prevention. In 2026, she began a PhD trajectory centered on monitoring and evaluating the integrated Falls Prevention Care Chain.
She also works as a senior lecturer in the Master’s program in Geriatric Physiotherapy.

She has extensive experience in geriatric rehabilitation and further specialized in neurorehabilitation. Since 2016, she has combined her clinical work with teaching in bachelor en master programs, initially at the Arnhem and Nijmegen University of Applied Sciences and, from 2021, at Utrecht University of Applied Sciences. Since 2022, she has been working full‑time at HU, where she has also initiated her research activities.
Her first research project originated within the HU Gezond‑en‑Wel Centre and focused on the theme of supporting recovery after a period of illness. Other research projects targeted the older population, including studies on fall prevention.
