Sanne de Baas works as a PhD candidate within the Lectoraat Bewegen en Opgroeien doe je Samen since September 2025. In the BAMBAM project, she studies AI-driven technology to measure infant movement, focusing on its practical use in healthcare.

Sanne has a background in Human Movement Sciences and graduated in 2024. Within the BAMBAM project, she explores how AI-driven technology can reliably measure spontaneous movement in young children, and how these insights can be made understandable and useful for pediatric physiotherapists in everyday practice. 

Sanne is driven by the combination of supporting young children and advancing healthcare innovation. Through her research, she aims to make technology more accessible and meaningful in clinical practice, helping professionals respond more effectively to the developmental needs of children at risk.
