As of april 1st 2025, Willeke Slingerland is the professor of the research group Social Cohesion and the Democratic Constitutional State. Within this research group, she studies the interaction between residents and the government with the aim of promoting social cohesion in our democratic constitutional state.
Before she started as a professor at Utrecht University of applied sciences, Willeke served as Professor of Resilient Democracy at Saxion, focusing on good governance, integrity, social safety, and subversion. Her research explored the impact of offline and online social networks both within organizations and in society at large.
