Xander Teunissen has been a researcher within the Applied Urban Energy Transition research group since September 2025. His work focuses primarily on techno-economic analyses and investment plans for innovative district heating networks, with attention to both technical and social aspects.
Richtext
Xander builds on his background in Energy Science and his experience with large-scale PV installations. This enables him to combine knowledge of energy models with practical project experience, bridging the gap between financial calculations and the underlying technical design.
With his research, Xander aims to contribute to reliable and affordable next-generation district heating networks that are supported by residents. Because there are still few practical examples and cost estimates vary widely, he is committed to knowledge sharing and transparent calculation methods that strengthen collaboration and decision-making.
