Ethical journalism and civic resilience

In today’s digital information society, journalistic ethics and accountability tools require constant updating because the media landscape is changing rapidly, because of the emergence of new journalistic platforms, advanced technological developments, the changing role of tech platforms in the media landscape, and citizens being able to create and disseminate news themselves. These developments have implications for journalistic ethical issues as well as how media and citizens communicate with each other.

Objective

In the EU-funded research project Diacomet, we are conducting research in collaboration with eight European countries on how to better enable media and citizens to communicate with each other in a responsible and ethical way and what role technology, and specifically Artificial Intelligence, can play in this.
