Learning Under Pressure

  • Project
  • December 2024 – June 2026
Youth care professionals frequently face pressure from the tension between their professional autonomy and strict rules and regulations. The ‘Learning Under Pressure’ project examines how they can navigate this challenge and how organizations can promote continuous learning, ensuring that young people and families consistently receive the support they need.

Objective

The project investigates how youth care professionals manage the tension between professional autonomy and systemic pressures. Four organizations create communities of practice, collaborating with young people, parents, managers, and researchers to explore learning questions, develop and pilot solutions, and evaluate their impact. This produces valuable insights into ‘learning under pressure’ and how it can be firmly embedded in organizational practice.

  • Actionable strategies for organisations to navigate and manage tension effectively
  • Engaging workshops on ‘learning under pressure’
