Annelies Kepper

Annelies Kepper is a senior researcher within the Research Group Working with Mandated Clients and a senior lecturer at the Bachelor’s programme Social Work.

In 2013, Annelies obtained her PhD at Utrecht University with the dissertation “Substance Use Among Adolescents in Special Education and Residential Youth Care”, conducted in collaboration with the Trimbos Institute. Annelies holds a bachelor’s degree in Social Legal Services and a master’s degree in Criminology, in which she specialized in youth criminology. 

She is involved in several research projects focused on improving interventions and professional practices within the judicial framework. She has many years of experience in education, including roles as a lecturer, coordinator, and graduation supervisor. Her work combines scientific insights with practice-oriented applications, aiming to strengthen the quality of forensic social work and education, and to support (future) forensic professionals.
