Bessie Slagt
Bessie Slagt has been a researcher at the Research group Journalism in Digital Transition since 2025. She is involved in the European research project DIACOMET.

Bessie previously worked at Free Press Unlimted, where she advocated for press freedom and the strengthening of independent journalism worldwide.
She holds a master’s degree in Inequalities and Social Science from the London School of Economics and Political Science (2023) and a bachelor’s degree in European Studies from the University of Amsterdam (2022).
