Carmen Damhuis works as a teacher-researcher within the Multilingualism research group since January 1st, 2025. In addition, she works as a lecturer for the Master Educational Needs, Teacher Education program and as an advisor for schools in the field of (multi)lingualism and reading.

 I work with great pleasure on language projects within the Multilingualism research group. My background is that of a researcher who enjoys collaborating with education to provide good language teaching for all students. I graduated as an educationalist focused on learning and development. I have conducted research on the vocabulary development of preschoolers and subsequently worked in primary education. I have a strong interest in paying attention to childeren's language development and aligning education and interaction accordingly.
