Edwin Weesie PhD (1978) works with various companies and governments, both at home and abroad, with regard to Acquisitions & Takeovers, Sales & Marketing and Corporate Governance. He has also been a senior lecturer and senior researcher at Research group Financial-Economic Advice in Innovation since 2011.

He obtained his doctoral degree at the University of Twente on the psychological barriers to business transfers and how business leaders and entrepreneurs can deal with them effectively. He is also an expert in the field of buying and selling SMEs and valuation issues. His daily activities include working with entrepreneurs, students, lecturers, branch organisations and policy makers to improve the business ecosystem in Europe.

Linking business with education and research is essential for properly preparing students for what is to come. Examples of guiding questions include “What is the benefit of ... for the business”? and “How can I convey this in plain language?”
