Dr. Edwin Weesie is Professor and Chair of the Research Group on Financial-Economic Innovation. Together with his team, he collaborates with SMEs and governments both nationally and internationally. He is also actively involved in the development and delivery of bachelor’s, master’s, and professional education programs.
He studied both in the Netherlands and abroad (UK, Hungary, Singapore) and obtained his PhD at the University of Twente in the Netherlands on the topic of psychological barriers in business transfers and how entrepreneurs effectively cope with the related stress. On a daily basis, he works with entrepreneurs, students, lecturers, industry organizations, and policymakers on a wide range of contemporary issues.
