Famke van Lieshout
Famke van Lieshout was a nurse and is a health scientist. She enables teams in developing/improving their practices and conducts research into this. In 2013, she obtained her PhD on what facilitators of these teams need in terms of guidance and support, in order to be able to stand firm in complex dynamics and to achieve good work with teams.
She focuses specifically on person-centered practice as good work. The focus in here is on transforming care, learning and working relationships. This requires a cultural-systemic approach such as participatory action research and art-based methods.
Famke is currently working as an associate lecturer at HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht within the Co-Design research group. She teaches within the Teaching Learning Network (TLN) for the Professionalization Researchers team and has taught for many years at Fontys University of Applied Sciences on the Master's program for Nursing Specialists (MANP). In 2020 she founded the Action Research Company and is 1st author of the book "Action Research, Principles and Research Methods for Participatory" (Koninklijke van Gorcum Publishers, 2021).
