Richtext
These people often need care in various areas, involving many different healthcare professionals. Medicines for mental and physical problems are usually part of this. We know that this use of medicines can be challenging, for example due to side effects and difficulty in pharmacies. For example, employees from pharmacies, mental health care and general practitioners are involved in pharmaceutical care.
Frederique's PhD research aims to gain more insight into social aspects of drug use for this target group:
- Appropriate pharmaceutical care
- Multidisciplinary collaboration of healthcare providers around pharmaceutical care
We aim to identify and test improvements in pharmaceutical care through research together with patients and healthcare providers.
"Good guidance when using medication is very important, especially for people with a psychiatric disorder."
