Guido Ongena PhD studied Business Informatics at Utrecht University. During his doctoral research at the University of Twente, he regularly published on the topic of user acceptance of technology.
After this he started working as a lecturer at the The Hague University of Applied Sciences, where he gained experience in providing education and curriculum development. Within the bachelor programme Information and Communication Technology (ICT) he was responsible for the content of two specialisations. He also acted as quartermaster for Big Data. As senior lecturer for the Institute for ICT, he is involved in the specialisation Business, IT & Management within the broad bachelor programme Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
His main focus is on Data Science. He also has a specific interest in the adoption of technology, social network analysis and design science research. The user interface of technology forms the common thread in Guido’s activities, both within the research group as with the education he provides.
