Hennie Huijgens

Lecturer-researcher
Hennie Huijgens is a lecturer-researcher at the research group Organization in Digital Transition and the Institute for People & Business.

Hennie sees – with the motto "research is done together" – as his most important challenge to conduct evidence-based research into digital transformation in practical situations in collaboration with students, teachers and researchers and public and private organizations. He is convinced that new, agile ways of working together, such as Scrum and the Spotify model, play a distinctive role in this.

Hennie has broad experience in setting up and managing large research labs in which knowledge institutions collaborate with companies and public organizations. After a career as a software developer and project manager in information technology, he worked for a long time as an independent consultant, where his focus, in addition to software engineering, also came to lie on the significance of artificial intelligence for business and society.

Expertises

  • Software portfolio management
  • Go Agile! (Scrum, Spotify-model)
