Henry Maathuis is a researcher within the research group AI. His research is centred on tailoring explanations to users, with a focus on improving usability and understandability. His ultimate goal is to promote the adoption of explainable AI in various fields.

Henry has an MSc in Artificial Intelligence. After his studies he worked as a lecturer for the AI-programme of the University of Groningen and then as a lecturer-researcher at the Computer Vision & Data Science lectorate of NHL Stenden.
