With a strong foundation in material science, microscopy, and electrochemistry, Isabell specializes in advanced imaging and material characterization. Leveraging this experience in nanomaterials research, she is dedicated to driving cutting-edge research and innovation in sustainable energy solutions.
She had her education at Utrecht University: BSc in Chemistry and MSc in Nanomaterials Science. There, she conducted research within inorganic and physical chemistry groups. She has experience in material characterization, including TEM, SEM, XRD, TGA, TPR/TPD, and N2 physisorption. Currently, she is focusing on research into polymer electrolytes in lithium batteries (BatteryNL).
I am currently developing electrochemical research techniques within the Innovative Testing in Life Sciences and Chemistry research group to test the electrochemical properties of electrolytes, the key component of a battery. These techniques include Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS), Amperometry, and Cyclic Voltammetry (CV).
