Jimmy Mulder

Lecturer-researcher
Jimmy Mulder has been working as a researcher within the research group AI since march 2022. He also fulfils an educational role within the ICT department. Machine learning of the future is his main focus.

After receiving my bachelor’s degree in CAI at Utrecht University Jimmy worked as a Java developer at Technolution for a year, before returning to finish his master’s degree in AI. After graduation he took the role of data scientist at Zyvo and later Soundaware.

Jimmy really hopes that we can use AI to make the world a better place. It’s not sufficient to merely look at the technology itself; the context in which this technology is used must be taken into account. At the end of the day, we decide what that context is.
