Nienke Aalbers completed the bachelor’s degree in Cultural and Social Development and the master’s degree in Community Development. During this she specialized in urban development and social entrepreneurship.

Since 2020, Nienke has been working as a teacher at Utrecht University of Applied Sciences. She teaches in the bachelor Social Work, within the specialism Wellbeing and Society, and the creative cultural signature of the bachelor.

Additionally, she works as a researcher at the Research Group on Sustainable Communities. Here, she conducts research within the Sustainable Communities within the research group with a focus on art and culture.
