Sara Miellet works as a researcher at the Collaborative Innovation for Transitions Research Group on social transitions (asylum migration/human rights). Within and beyond Utrecht, she is involved in public innovations in asylum reception, co-creation of local human rights agendas, and participatory monitoring.
Richtext
Sara's (PhD) research explored the interfaces between social transitions: the growing attention for human rights locally and the reception of people on the move. New forms of collaboration between local governments, social movements and civic initiatives and the places where these collaborations emerge are central to her current research.
Sustainability and social transitions call for new forms of collaboration. My work focuses on collaborations already in the making, the places where they develop organically and on shared quests, such as for a collective memory and a shared language and ethics of care.
