Sita van der Meulen
In Januari 2026 Sita van der Meulen started as PD-candidate Energie and Sustainability at research group New Urban Energy. Her practice-oriented research focusses on how health can be a basis for choosing biobased retrofitting materials.

Sita worked as an architect before she became a lecturer in 2009 and has recently been certified as a building biologist at IBN Rosenheim. At The Hague University of Applied Sciences, she conducted research on green roofs. Since August 2023, she has been working at HU as a lecturer at the Built Environment program.
Sita wants to achieve awareness of the invaluable value of nature for architectural applications and health.
