With a background in Criminology, she gained experience as a lecturer at Erasmus University Rotterdam and as a criminologist within the Preventie met Gezag (Prevention with Authority) programme. In addition to her role as a researcher at Utrecht University of Applied Sciences, she is involved as a researcher in the action research project at Huis van Herstel Twente. Her interests focus primarily on the prison system and reintegration, and she is passionate about connecting research and practice.
