Tim Favier

Lecturer-researcher

Tim Favier has been working as a Senior Lecturer in Sustainability Education since February 2025. He is a member of the Research Group Curriculum Development. His research focuses on sustainability education in secondary education, and the development of competencies of prospective teachers in providing sustainability education.

Tim Favier has a lot of experience in designing sustainability education, and with various forms of subject-didactic research. In this, he works together with different partners in the region. Within the HU University of Applied Sciences, his work is mainly related to teacher training. 

"I would like to contribute to strengthening sustainability education in secondary education. I work on this in various ways: revising the curriculum, developing innovative teaching methods, conducting research and developing courses in teacher training. I find everything that has to do with the what, why, how, for whom and by whom of sustainability education interesting."
