Summary
Mathematical problem-solving has recently been established as a key objective in Dutch elementary education. Consequently, teaching problem-solving has become a new subject in teacher education. At our institution, a course on problem-solving is implemented at the end of the second year. We have initiated an ongoing design study to gain insights into how preservice teachers (PSTs) can develop teaching skills for teaching problem-solving.
