Boudewijn Visscher MSc (1990) has been affiliated as a researcher with the Research group Innovation in Healthcare Processes in Pharmacology (IZF) since January 2017.
His doctoral research is entitled ‘Verbeteren van farmaceutische zorg voor mensen met lage gezondheidsvaardigheden en Diabetes Mellitus type 2’ (‘Improving pharmaceutical care for people with low health literacy skills and Diabetes Mellitus type 2’). Boudewijn's doctoral supervisor is Prof. J.J.D.J.M. Rademakers (professor by special appointment in Health Literacy Skills and Patient Participation at Maastricht University). His co-promoters are E.R. Heerdink PhD (professor of the Research group Innovation in Healthcare Processes in Pharmacology) and B. Steunenberg,PhD (senior lecturer and senior researcher Research group Innovation in Healthcare Processes in Pharmacology).
Boudewijn studied Human Movement Sciences at the University of Groningen. After completing his studies, he worked at VU Amsterdam for the Human Movement Sciences programme and the HGZO master's degree. Boudewijn has been affiliated with the HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht since 2014, in the Management in Healthcare degree programme.
