Dagmar van Nimwegen MSc (1993) obtained her master's degree in Chemistry in 2017, with a specialisation in Science, Management and Innovation (SMI) at Radboud University Nijmegen. Since June 2018, she has been working as a PhD candidate in the Research group Chronic Diseases, and as a lecturer for the bachelor's degree in Nursing.
During her graduation internship, Dagmar conducted research at GGD Gelderland-Zuid, into protection against infectious diseases, before and during pregnancy, within the population of the Dutch Reformed Church. After this she worked on a number of projects dealing with antibiotic resistance at GGD Gelderland-Zuid and GAIN.
Dagmar's doctoral research focuses on psychosocial care after suffering a stroke; a time when many people experience psychosocial consequences that can hamper their recovery. The aim of her research is to develop a psychosocial care programme that better suits the wishes and needs of patients and caregivers.
