Dagmar van Nimwegen

Dagmar van Nimwegen, MSc (1993) obtained her Master’s degree in Chemistry in 2017 (specialisation Science, Management and Innovation) at the Radboud University. Since 2018 she has been working as PhD Student at Research Group Proactive care for older people living at home and as teacher at the Bachelor Nursing.

During her Master internship, Dagmar has studied protection against infectious diseases before and during pregnancy within the Dutch orthodox protestant community, at GGD Gelderland-Zuid. After this, she has worked on several studies regarding antibiotic resistance at GGD Gelderland-Zuid and GAIN.

Dagmar’s PhD project focuses on psychosocial care after stroke. After stroke a lot of people suffer from psychosocial problems that can hinder their recovery. Her research focuses on developing a psychosocial care program that fits the needs of patients and healthcare providers.
