Jeffrey Matray is a PhD candidate within the research group Smart Systems for Healthy Living. He is working on organizing and substantiating prehabilitation for cardiac surgery, supported by technology.

Jeffrey has a background in Human Movement Sciences and Biomedical Engineering. After his studies, he worked as a data consultant and lecturer in Medical Informatics. He was also a member of the E-health Living and Learning Lab at Amsterdam UMC, provided statistical consulting, and is a lecturer in Business IT and Management.
Jeffrey's greatest motivation is his curiosity and his desire to improve and make cardiac care more accessible. By better preparing patients for their surgery, we will reduce the risk of complications during the intervention and improve the quality of life for the patients.
