Martin van Dijkhuizen is a lecturer for the bachelor degree programme Built Environment. He is also a researcher for the Research Group Building Future Cities. He studied Civil Engineering at Delft University of Technology.
Martin specialises in the organisation of large complex technical (construction) projects. Previously he was a preparation staff member, technical developer and development manager at BAM. From 2002 to 2007, he worked for the military as a platoon commander for the Genie department. His squad built Kamp Holland in Afghanistan; a difficult task in an unpredictable environment.
