Michiel van der Ven

Dr. Michiel van der Ven RT, is a Research Fellow at the Financial Economic Innovation Lectorate. Within this professorship he supervises researchers and honors students and carries out practice-oriented research in Finance & Control. Michiel also works as a senior lecturer and is projectleader of "The Digital Accountant".

Michiel obtained his doctorate in information systems in Delft. He built a decision support system for transfer pricing at Akzo Nobel in collaboration with software developer Infor. 800 copies of the thesis have been sold in 12 countries. In addition, his solution was presented to the European industry in London Hilton. 

Michiel has contributed about fifty (international) professional and scientific publications to his name, of which 12 were written together with honours students. See his LinkedIn profile for an overview of these publications.
