Michiel van der Ven

Michiel van der Ven PhD (1956) has been a Research fellow at the Research group Financial-Economic Advice in Innovation since 1 July 2012. He is responsible for supervising honours students and practice-based research projects in Finance & Control.

Michiel obtained his doctoral degree in Information Systems from Delft University of Technology in 1989. He went on to build a decision support system for transfer pricing at Akzo Nobel, in collaboration with software developer Infor. 800 copies of his dissertation have been sold in 12 countries. In addition, the solution he devised for London Hilton was presented to European business.
