Peter Duifhuis has been a member of the Research group Curriculum Development in Primary and Secondary Education since 2017. Within this Research group, he mainly concerns himself with research into the substantive integration of science subjects and interdisciplinary education within teacher-training programmes in the science field.

Peter hopes to contribute to a future-proof education sector by teaching students to take account of environmental issues and allowing them to gain experience in coding and design. He has a degree in Artificial Intelligence and Physics from the University of Groningen. Peter has taught Physics at the first level at a number of schools.

In 2010, he joined HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht; working as a teacher-trainer and bearing responsibility for the curriculum of the Physics teacher-training programme. In addition, he works as a lecturer/developer at U-Talent – an advanced programme for outstanding pupils in the Science field – organised by Utrecht University’s Freudenthal Institute. He has a special focus on teaching Physics in general, and specifically computing technology.
