Robert van Breukelen MSc is a researcher within the research group Applied Urban Energy Transition since September 2024. He is particularly involved in research on predictive control for building energy management systems for large buildings.

Technology and its practical application in a changing society have been Roberts passion for years. He is constantly seeking further development and improvement in this field. As a researcher, educational developer, and lecturer at HU, he gets to engage with this every day.
In 1993, Robert completed his bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering at HU. In 2020, he completed his Master in Engineering Systems at HAN. His thesis was titled ‘Model for a Domestic Air-Water Heat-Pump System with Limited Data and Limited Access’.
