Roderick Udo MSc is a financial economist with a strong interest in entrepreneurship and creative entrepreneurship in particular. He obtained his master's degree in International Economics and Business at Utrecht University. He has been working as a lecturer/researcher at HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht since 2008.

Roderick has always been entrepreneurial, even during his academic career. He has been active in the music sector for over 15 years. By closely observing financing dilemmas in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as a creative entrepreneur, and by combining these observations with his background in financial education, Roderick developed a strong interest in SME financing and innovations in financial markets.

"By receiving informed advice regarding financial decisions, pop musicians can remain focused on their creative process."

With his strong financial background, combined with his network in the creative sector, Roderick is well-positioned to conduct research into financing solutions for small businesses and especially for creative entrepreneurs. As of January 2019, he has been conducting doctoral research under the title "Entrepreneurial finance in the music industry: a behavioural perspective on decision making."
