As of 2018, Saskia works for the HU University of Applied Sciences as a researcher in the research group of Innovation of Mobility Care and as a program manager for the Research Center for Healthy and Sustainable Living. Her main interest is in the promotion of active and sustainable lifestyles and health.

After her master Human Movement Sciences, Saskia received her PhD at the VU University Medical Center Amsterdam (2004). Saskia has ample experience in the development and evaluation of interventions in various contexts and applying different methodologies. Previously, Saskia worked as a senior researcher at the department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the VUMC.
My main interest is the promotion of active and sustainable lifestyles taking into account motivational and environmental factors. Challenges are in the complex context where many factors interact and should not be addressed in isolation.
