Siepke van den Burg
Siepke van den Burg has been working as a junior researcher within the Research Group on Proactive Care since February 1, 2025. In this role, she focuses on the PIONEER project, which aims to de-implement ineffective urological interventions in community and nursing home care.

Siepke is a nurse and nursing scientist. Her professional background includes experience in both community nursing and hospital care. In addition to her role as a junior researcher, she also works as a lecturer in the Bachelor of Nursing program. There, she has contributed to various (research) projects, which sparked her interest in conducting research herself. Siepke is also a member of the Institute Council of IVS.
Through these combined roles, Siepke aims to bridge the gap between education and practice-oriented research as a nurse and nursing scientist, with the goal of continuously improving the quality of care and nursing practice.
