Since September 2025, Sophie Konings has been working as a researcher within the Applied Research Group on Clinical Decision Making in Movement Care. As a PhD candidate, she is conducting research on providing physiotherapists with tools for the personalized treatment of patients with non-specific neck pain.

Sophie has nearly 10 years of work experience as a psychosomatic physiotherapist in primary healthcare. Since 2019, after completing her studies in clinical sciences, she has primarily been active as a lecturer in higher education. Since 2021, she has been involved as a lecturer in the Master's program in Psychosomatic Physiotherapy at Utrecht University of Applied Sciences.
