Dr. Stan van Ginkel is a lecturer and researcher at the Archimedes Institute and the Research group Intelligent Data Systems at HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht. Previously he worked at Utrecht University and Wageningen University & Research (WUR).
He conducts research into the design of learning environments focused on oral presentations in higher education. Current research projects focus on the impact of virtual learning environments on the development of academic and communication skills.
The results of these studies will be used to optimise virtual environments and to then implement them in various domains of higher education. Upcoming research projects will investigate the added value of innovative technologies for learning processes in education and healthcare sectors.
