Wieke van Boxtel

Researcher

Wieke van Boxtel MSc will be conducting research within the research line Interprofessional Prevention at the Research Group Innovations in Preventive Care.

In 2019 she began her doctoral research into health literacy skills among children, in the context of prevention. Her research intends to yield insight into the health literacy skills of children in the Netherlands, whereby she also hopes to derive potentially successful elements that can be used for helping to acquire such skills.

As project leader of Preventive Health Checks (PGCs) in the neighbourhood, Wieke is also working on the development and sustainable implementation of said PGCs in various care education programmes in the Utrecht region. The interprofessional approach of this project offers interesting opportunities for collaboration with various interested parties.
