From Innovation Islands to the Educational Mainland - VIVO

  • Project
  • May 2025 – December 2027

In May 2025, the three-year VIVO project started, in which HU, Saxion, and Inholland collaborate with five award-winning educational innovations to explore how local initiatives can be sustainably scaled. We identify effective principles and develop an Innovation Sustainability Framework (IVR) with tools to support teams and organizations in achieving lasting educational innovation.

Goal

The aim is to better understand and support the transformation of local initiatives into sustainable educational innovation. To this end, we design and provide tools that help educational teams and organizations realize and embed lasting innovations.

Results

The VIVO project provides insight into effective mechanisms for sustaining educational innovation and results in a theoretically grounded Innovation Sustainability Framework with practical tools, enabling educational teams and organizations to sustainably scale and embed local initiatives.

Approach

The VIVO project investigates educational innovations through practice-based research and Learning History Labs.
