Increasing digital resilience of SMEs

SMEs are increasingly victims of cyber attacks and data leaks. Due to relatively limited resources and expertise, it is usually more difficult for SMEs to defend themselves against this. We help SMEs to become more resilient to cyber threats

Objective

The aim of this research is to help SMEs, through targeted interventions, to make their organization and employees more resilient to cyber threats.

Results

The result is a transferable intervention that stakeholders can use to encourage Dutch SMEs to behave more resiliently in the field of cyber security.

Duration

01 September 2023 - 31 August 2025

Approach

In the research we are developing an intervention that should increase the resilience of SMEs. To test this intervention we select 24 companies. They are divided into an experimental and a control group. The intervention is initially tested in the experimental group. We expect that the experimental group will show more digitally safe behaviour after intervention.
