Alija Ibrahimovic works as a researcher/lecturer within the Research group Financial-Economic Advice in Innovation. As a PhD candidate, he is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in the field of microcredit. He also teaches within the International Business Studies degree programme.

Alija Ibrahimovic (1991) began his career as a student at HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht within the International Business and Economics degree programme. He participated in the HU honours programme and achieved all that he could from his studies. He completed two minors and also studied in the United States for six months.

After completing his bachelor's degree, Alija followed a master's degree programme in International Business Economics at Utrecht University, specialising in Financial Management. He is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in the field of microcredit.

Professor Lex van Teeffelen was the supervisor for his first professional publication on microfinance. Following this, Alija joined forces with the Research group Financial-Economic Advice in Innovation.
