Dian Fluijt PhD is a researcher at the Research group Normative Professionalisation and the Research group Multilingualism and Diversity. Her research focuses on the effects and implications of co-teaching and the organisation of more inclusive education.
Dian has published in The European Journal of Special Needs Education. In addition, she has described twenty co-teaching teams in Austria. and studied the development of four newly established co-teaching teams over a three-year period (Tijdschrift voor Orthopedagogiek, 2017). She has also followed the development of ambulatory supervisors who intend to work as co-lecturers.

Her current activities include: working on a research project on ‘multilingualism and co-teaching’, participating in the Nordforsk project (including science education subjects), writing a practical handbook on co-teaching and she regularly publishes in practical journals and in the De Kennisrotonde (Knowledge Roundabout - NRO). She is also working on a new research proposal that will focus on co-teaching and young education professionals.
